Grattitude

Some of you may remember last year my cousin Amberley challenged all who wanted to participate to record in our blog, journal, wherever, 5 things we are thankful for each day in the month of November. That challenge has been issued again this year and I am already behind, but I am excited to focus on and record my numerous blessings. Any of you want to jump on board, do it!

  • I am thankful for my appliances. I really can't imagine my life without my washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and fridge. I got thinking about this today when I was doing dishes and finishing the third load of laundry. These processes seem so time consuming but really it would be so much more so if I was doing it all by hand.

  • I am thankful for family members that are so willing to help out with my kiddos. Cody was out of town today and I had to go to work and my parents were more than willing to let them come over and hang out until he got home. I am so lucky that any one of our family would do the same thing without question. I'm so glad that they are close by and that my kids can spend time with them.

  • This is very frivolous but I am thankful for good haircare products. Yes... I am a shampoo/hairspray snob. It is amazing how I can tell the difference.

  • I am thankful that both Cody and I have jobs that we like and are steady. In this economy it has become a rarity to have this blessing.

  • Tonight at work we got talking about how blessed we are to be protected from the weather. We experience it but not to the extent of previous generations. We have homes with AC, furnaces, insulation, and all those fantastic luxuries that keep us comfortable and protected from mother nature.
