Easter, Eggs, Conference and Family

We've had lots of fun things going on this week and Easter Sunday was no exception.
I had to work the night before so the kiddo's watched the morning session of General Conference with Cody and then we all got ready and went to Grams and Grandpa's house for brunch in between sessions.  What a wonderful Sunday to share with family, listen to our Prophet and Apostles testify of our Savior Jesus Christ and the miracle of the resurrection. I am so thankful for the blessing of the atonement and His sacrifice for each of us. Because of Him, I can keep these sweet faces as well as my amazing husband and extended family together for eternity.
This little Joe Cool insisted on sporting his shades for the afternoon's festivities. I kinda love it!
The kiddo's were beyond spoiled as they headed outside to gather Easter Eggs.

It was hard, but these cute ladies managed to pause for a just a quick second to flash mom and Grams an Easter smile.

If you get stumped, don't worry your uncles and Grandpa are pretty good at giving you clues to where the hard ones are hidden.

Cute little mug! Who doesn't want to kiss those cheeks?!

Look at all that loot! And those sweet smiles that never left their faces.

Sometimes when your basket is too heavy, if you ask nicely your Uncle Tyson will carry it for you.
Thank you family! Thank you for always being amazing, supportive, loving and sharing so many memories with us.  We love you all, Happy Easter.

Easter Picnic 2015

Keeping up a Smith family tradition, we gathered with Gram's family for an little pre Easter celebrating. This could possibly be the last time that we can have our picnic up at 'The Orchard' where it's been for so many years. There is the possibility that it may be developed by next year so we were glad the the weather was sunny and shining down on us all together as a family.

Hot dogs, jello eggs, chips, and drinks. These girls were quite content.

Time for a little Easter seeking.  This year Mya was less timid and excited to participate. Sadie and Hayze were content to wander behind everyone else.

Cute cousin Sophie making sure that Hayze got some eggs too.

I'm sure if you asked the girls what their favorite part of the day was, you would hear about roasting marshmallows. Mya was thrilled that she could do it herself! I think she cooked somewhere around 6 for herself! She was quite the roaster, no ash in sight and the perfect golden shades.

I love the traditions that we share together and I am so happy that my kids get to share the memories I have from my childhood.

My Kiddo's

These kids!
I am not sure why, but my heart has just felt overflowing with love and gratitude for these three little people that call me mommy. I feel such overwhelming love for each of them! They are growing and becoming such wonderful little people. I can't help but be proud of them.
I've discovered myself trying to take in and make a mental note of so many little things that I don't want to forget. My sweet Miss Mya is growing up so quickly before my eyes. I found myself feeling a bit teary as I watched her 'snapping' the edge of her blanket as we were drying her hair one morning. It's just a little habit of hers, a comfort you would say. It reminded me of when she was little, one of those little memories I want to lock away.
I find myself savoring the moments I have in the morning with Sadie and Hayze, when we snuggle. I want to keep those little moments in my heart, soak them in, and give them my time and love. Even if that means I'm not ready until noon.
My sweet kiddo's, your mom loves you so much! I know that I am so blessed to have you as my children. I am so happy that we have the blessings of being together as a family for eternity.

Easter 2014

Easter morning we awoke to find that the bunny had left a little trail of chocolate 'poops'. The Easter Bunny likes to tease Uncle Glenn and leaves a mess behind for him to clean up. The girls were utterly disgusted. They wrinkled their noses and tried to avoid them completely. Hayze on the other hand was quite thrilled by them.

Helping each other find their Easter baskets the bunny had so sneakily hid. The kids were thrilled to see that the bunny knows each of them very well. The girls baskets were filled with all things My Little Pony and Tate and Finn recieved some pretty cool Star Wars attire.
This excited little face was sporting some epic bedhead this morning. I can't even stand how much I love this girls crazy facial expressions and awesome big hair.
Love my cuties!
They were kind enough to let me get some traditional pre-church Easter pictures.

Such handsome little devils. Poor Tate was struggling with the sun in his eyes.
After church we had Uncle Tyson, Uncle McKay and Papa over for dinner with us. And while we cleaned up Tyson and McKay hid Easter eggs for some very excited kids.

1, 2, 3... GO!!

Hayze was happy with his one egg and was eager for Papa to get him up off that prickly grass.

Look at all these cuties showing off their loot.

Much too soon our guests had to leave. It was sad to wave good bye the next day. We loved having them visit and play with us this weekend.
