Merry Christmas!

Here's wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas!
I hope you all have a wonderful day surrounded by your family and friends.
And can you believe it... a white Christmas! That is the best! I am content to have it cold if there is snow involved.
I hope that the spirit of our Savior fills your homes and that His love surrounds you at this special time of year. I hope you know how very special you are to me and that you have touched my life for good. Love ya!
PS~ There will be lots of pictures as soon as my home computer gets back from the 'doctor'.
The poor thing just couldn't handle everything and had to be hospitalized for exhaustion!
Hope it's back on it's feet soon because I'm going nuts. :)

Christmas, Baths & Crafts!!

~Christmas~

"It's the most wonderful time of the year!"

Yeah, for us! The Christmas decorations finally made it upstairs!

Cody and I set up the Christmas tree while Mya supervised. She likes the feel of the branches.

Mya and I testing out the mistletoe ball, yup it is fully operational!

I really love Nativities! So every year I have to display my collection, okay my collection of 4. But I love them all, they are all so very different. Some are ornate, others very simple but each one tells the same story. The story of the birth of our Savior. The humble way he entered the world He would save. I am so thankful for Him and for the infinite love that He has for each of us and so freely gives.

Cody's parents brought us back this nativity from Isreal, isn't it beautiful!

Merry Christmas in Hebrew: Mo'adim Lesimkha

I picked this little one up in Mexico.

Feliz Navidad!

This one came back from the Ivory Coast with Cody.
Joyeux Noel!

And this one I guess is my 'American' nativity. No exciting story, just the fact that I love it!
Merry Christmas!

~Baths~
Well, since it is Thursday you all know that it is time for another 'Thursday Picture'!

Up until just lately, Mya's baths have been less than entertaining, an quick in out, she lays there and wonders what the heck I'm doing to her. But a couple weeks ago while visiting gram's house she discovered that splashing is a riot!

Now bathtime is quite fun, but I always do it prior to getting ready for the day because I get a bath too !

(25 weeks)

Oh, a hooded towel! Don't you all wish they made them in adult sizes!

Then we could all wrap up and be cute and warm when we jump out of the shower!

~Crafts~

My sweet friend Becky just had her baby yesterday and before I take her gift to her I had to show it off. I was quite proud of myself because I made it! Yup, all by myself! It is far from perfect but pretty darn good none the less! I hope she loves her one of a kind carseat cover!

Aren't the giant buttons fantastic?!!

Mya's First Trip To...

Mya, Cody and I went on our first visit to Cabela's as a family.

I wanted to know what was on Cody's "Christmas List" so we headed that way to check out coyote calls, guns, ammo, as well as all the huge animals.

Imparting Fatherly wisdom..

"Mya, these are Mule Deer. See how each antler is separate. White tail antlers all come off a main beam. We kill Mule Deer!"

Wowser! What are those big, fat things?!?

Mya was enthralled by the fish!

We watched her, watch them for quite a while. It was so cute to watch her move her head back and forth as the fish swam by.
There are some fish in there that are bigger than she is.

Little Davy Crockett in her coonskin cap.

Cody got a good laugh when I asked him if we could go see the 'wild' animals after we looked at the deer and elk. He just stared at me then asked, 'You mean the African animals?'

Oh, dear! I guess my bleach blonde is sinking in.

Good times had by one and all and I'm sure as long as Cody keeps hunting, it won't be our last trip to the Worlds Foremost Outfitter.

Oh, Sweet Victory!

(24 Weeks Old)

Oh, what an interesting morning it has been. My sweet Mya, who usually is a fantastic nap taker; you lay her down when it's time and then poof she's gone, decided today she wanted to shake things up a bit. Our initial nap attempt went like this, sleep for 20, then cry, sleep for 10, then cry and so on. Now normally this wouldn't be so bad, but I worked last night and my eyes are screaming to close. My morning nap followed about the same pattern as Mya's, minus the crying. So I finally gave up... we both got up, ate since it was time, and got ready for the day.

So here we are, second nap attempt... Oh, Sweet Victory!

And on that happy note, I'm out! My bed and I have a nap date!

23 Weeks Old

Grandpa and a chocolate cookie, can life get any better?

Mya would tell you, probably not.

Mya got her first taste of Chocolate this weekend when grandpa shared his cookie with her. (What are Grandpa's for right?)

She definitely is her mother's daughter, she was not thrilled when we took it from her and even less thrilled when we wiped her face.

Happy Turkey Day!!!

We celebrated Mya's first Thanksgiving with a fabulous feast at my Aunt Jolynne's house! It was ever so delicious and I ate much more than I ever should have but when all your favorites are there just begging to be eaten, how can you resist!

Cute little Bo!

The feast: Turkey, potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, veggies, jello salads in multiple varieties and much more!

Hadlee's favorite Turkey day treat... Olives.

Bo and Mya sharing some cousin love.

He was so cute with her, he would lay his head on her tummy, and give her rough little toddler hugs, then when she started to cry after he hugged her, he tried to shove her binki in her mouth. Big bruisin' teddy bear Bo.

McKay, has had WAY too much to eat. He's feelin' the turkey right about now.

BINGO TIME!

It's BiNGo TImE! There was much fun to be had at the Smith Family Bingo Parlor; we played for fabulous prizes that included movies, treats, dew rags, a fart machine, and a giant costco size bag of gummy bears. Alas, no prizes made it home with me, but good times none the less.
