5 Months Old!

22 Weeks!

Oh, Mya! Another fun filled month has flown by! We love you more and more!

Your smiles come so freely, and giggle spots are much easier for us to find.

You have such a happy personality and are such a joy to have in our family!

We love you lots and lots you cute little girl!

~P.S. So as soon as I was done taking this adorable picture, I picked Mya up to discover a blow-out of mass proportions! It was a strip down, bath, complete new outfit, massive poop. Thanks sweetie.

Life Smells!

I realize that this is a really wierd thing to blog about but I am a little put out right now because of a certain StEncH that has permeated the area surrounding our cute little condo. It is what we here in Pemberley lovingly call the "Pemberley Poops". I think it smells like the incubator in my microbiology lab, the one that I gagged every time I opened. Yes, this awful smell wafts in from who knows where and believe me you better run for cover. Mya and I were out for a walk this afternoon because it was so nice, and we had to come home because I couldn't take the smell any longer if I wanted to keep down my lunch. So here we are safe inside, but stuck inside. Grrrrr. I think we'll head to grandma's for some fresh air!

2 weeks of Thursday Pictures!

20 Weeks

This is a new favorite position of Mya's... legs up in the air. Feet, although discovered earlier, have been rediscovered. In her car seat, lying on the floor, while being changed, they never seem to loose their appeal. And the drool continues, but now she has added her fingers to the mix and if she can get them, my fingers. They must feel good and squishy.
And tummy time is becoming much more tolerable because she stays like this for a minute and then just rolls over. I guess she feels more in control.

21 Weeks

Oh, rubbing the eyes! There is something so adorable to me about this simple gesture.

But sometimes we worry, she is very vigorous in her rubbing.

Doctor's visit and a new outfit!

(Don't mind Mya flashing the camera...We'll talk about modesty later)

Today we went to Dr. Glade's for Mya's 4 month check up.

Weight : 13.2 pounds (22%)

Length : 25.75 in (83%)

Head Circ: 17.2 cm (94%)

And she only had to have 2 shots. Thank Heaven!

Last week I came home and discovered a package on our doorstep. I am always thrilled to get things in the mail and I was even more delighted when I discovered the Adorable outfit, Mya is wearing above, inside. When Cody and I went to France last year we met this fantastic group of ladies on the river cruise we went on. They became our adopted aunties and we had a riot spending the week with them. Well, Sue and Nancy, of the afore mentioned aunties, were so sweet and sent this for Mya! How kind is that! I am so thankful for wonderful people and it reminds me that I need to reach out and become a little bit better and a little bit kinder to all of those people in my life.

Thanks again Nancy and Sue!

Quirk (Plural; quirks) noun: An Odd Habit

I was tagged by Aunt Tricia to share with you 6 of my Quirks.

So to all of you I say; enjoy and feel free to laugh at the oddity that is me.

In no particular order...

1- I sleep with one or both of my feet out of the bed at night. It doesn't matter how cold or hot it is, one foot Must always be free. This little quirk wreaks havoc on my side of the bed. The covers are always untucked from the bottom of my side and the covers are usually angled toward Cody. He loves this, I assure you. Ask him.

2- I have a 'thing' with chicken. Well I guess to be more specific, the little tendon thingies that come attached to the chicken. So prior to cooking or while eating chicken, I can be found cautiously observing for any little gristle, skin, or vein that may cause that piece to deemed contaminated.

3- When I am at work I like to have the area around me clean and without clutter. I just can't seem to focus on my charting unless the area around me is picked up. We also have this white board that has the room assignments on it and it drives me insane if it is messy, which it always is. So usually around 2am when my charting is caught up and the patients are sleeping I have to take the board down, clean it and re-write everything so that it looks nice. I have tried not doing it, it was painful.

4- When I am nervous, like when I used to have to take tests, I pick at myself. Any little thing on my face that I can pick at, zits, dry skin, anything gets picked. It is a disgusting, nervous habit and I am so glad that my test taking days are over because this compulsion has reduced significantly.

5- I have to have my beverages ice cold! Water, soda, juice, milk (especially milk) need to be cold or I don't like to drink it. As a result of this, I use a lot of ICE. If there is ever any question which glass is mine, it's the one with more ice than liquid.

6- This is a horrible habit that I have been working on getting rid of for quite some time. When the toilet paper roll is out...I always get a new roll but I just sit it on top of the old one or on the back of the toilet. I don't know why, I realize that this is pretty much pure laziness. (I told you I was working on it!)

So there you have it. Hope you enjoyed some of my deep dark secrets.

Now it is your turn...I tag Mom, Becky and Kim

Happy Halloween!

Let the Halloween Celebrations Begin!

Witches, devils, ghosts, black cats; we had it all this Halloween! I must say that Mya's first halloween was a success!

Mya and I began our huanting by surprising Grandpa Keetch at work. Then we went to see my Nurse friends at work, only 2 Halloween babies born that I know of.

Nurse Mya at your service!

I love these little scrubs!

And I love that her belly is hanging out in all the pics.

Uncle McKay a.k.a. Jim Halpert as Dave

Mya still isn't too sure of McKay's new hairdo, she doesn't cry, but she is more cautious around him than she used to be.

Aunt McKenzie showing off her witchy hair and nose before heading out to Trick or Treat.

I call this photo: Love me s'more

Uncle Adam and his sweetie Camarie.

Cute Cousins; Addie and Holden Bullock

We are wondering if Addie's face is still red, that paint was a little more permanent than they thought.

These are the GreATesT cookies in all the land! My Grandma Keetch's homemade oreos! I crave these things and they are absolutely my downfall. I can't keep away, I just keep thinking, one more. Okay, just one more. SO delish!

Cute little Cousin Zane!

My aunt made these chaps, they are real live leather!

I guess it helps that it's what they do, leatherwork; saddles, chaps, you name it.

Mya and Grandma

Mya was thrilled with her Trick or Treat prize.

The Keetch Aunties...

Aunt Sherrie: she won her work costume contest with this... watch out mother/baby unit!

Aunt Cindy, my cutie mamma, and Aunt Nilda

HaPPY HaLLOWeeN To All! I hope yours was as fun as ours!

Here we go again...

I have a problem... every time I open any of these delicious books I can't put them back down! I realize that I am not the only one who has found themselves in this situation, but I am blown away at how enthralled I am with them. I can read it again and again and it doesn't get old. Especially this go around. I have started reading Twilight again, in honor of the upcoming film, and I have been reading the Midnight Sun manuscript at the same time. Such a fun way to read it! One chapter from Bella's perspective the other from Edward's. It brings so much more depth to the story. Dang that person that messed up our chances of getting our paws on the completed book.
