Thursday Pictures - 19 weeks

For this week's edition of 'Thursday Pictures' I thought it would be a great idea to take advantage of the fall leaves that are in abundance in my family's yard.
This was a new discovery for little Miss Mya, kind of crispy and interesting.

However; one of those 'crunchy' beasts got just a little too close and put a quick end to our photo shoot. I got her calmed down and attempted to start again but as soon as I got her near them she would push out her bottom lip and start to cry again. The end had come, she wanted nothing more to do with that poky, crunchy, and absolutely terrifying pile of leaves. Oh, well I am content with the few good ones the few funny 'angry' pics mom and I got.

Hope I haven't scarred her for life.

I can pay for leaf therapy later.

Tagged on the Little Details...

Ok, So this tag was sent out and I will admit I only did it because I wasn't too extremely embarrassed by my house. Thank heaven I cleaned a couple days ago.

THE RULES: You have to take 10 pictures of the following things

and you have to do it right away.

No straitening, cleaning or wiping you kids nose (I mean it!).

Then you tag 6 others.

1- What are your kids (kid) doing right now?

We just got ready for the day and this is what Mya usually does before nap time.
2- The Bathroom

I admit it, I am terrible at keeping my counters clean. It is just so much easier to have all my stuff out on the counter so I can get to it.

3. The Closet

Nothing too exciting here, just your every day messy closet.

Once upon a time my clothes were all neatly folded on the shelves.

4- My Favorite Pair of Shoes

Oh, how I love a good shoe! But, I have to say that right now these are my favorites. There is just something about them that makes me happy.

5- Self Portrait

So, I cheated a little on this one. I have a terrible time getting a picture of myself so I got the most recent one of Mya and I. It's a favorite.

6- The Laundry Room

7- The Kitchen Sink

Surprisingly, there aren't many dishes in the sink. Just breakfast dishes and the popcorn bowl from last night. I have to admit this is the one chore I am really not very good at. Cody usually helps me out.

8- The Fridge

"But when she got there, the cupboard was bare, and so the little dog had none."
Looks like someone needs to make a trip to the grocery store!

9- Favorite Room in the House

Mya's room is by far my favorite room right now as far as decor goes. It is just so bright and happy that I love to be in it! I still have a few accessories that I want to purchase but I love it!

10- Dream Vacation

If I could go anywhere, Cody and I would go to Tahiti and stay in one of those glass bottom houses out over the water! How cool would that be! Sun, Beach, my handsome hubby, beautiful water, palm trees, need I say more!

I tag... anyone who feels brave enough to show us your secret details!

It's pretty fun so get going!

Mya we adore you!

Miss Mya has survived in our care for 4 whole months!

And we are having a blast! She is getting big too fast but it has been exciting to see her progress. She has started discovering faces...scratching at Cody's face, 'beeping' his nose, so cute!

She has also started rubbing her eyes when she's tired. If that doesn't melt your heart what will?

She wants to be in on the action; no more laying down all the time for this little girl, she wants to be sitting up so she can see what's goin' on.

Oh, the drool! I had no clue. Sometimes I feel like I have a St. Bernard there is so much slobber I am constantly wiping!

Thanks TK!

Yesterday was my brother, Tyson's, P-day and he sent me a quick e-mail despite the lack of one on my end. Well, that fabulous missionary is sure in tune with the spirit. I have been kind of stressed out the past few days with work and the babe and just everyday life. Well my sweet brother, all the way down in Brazil, knew exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks bud, I love ya!
Hey aub. How are things back at work? I hope your finding a groove with things there and at home with mya now. I know it's probably really hard, and I can't even begin to imagine what its like being a mom but I know that if anyone can do it its you. And like you told me. When things get hard you can go to Heavenly Father and tell him anything. Always pray to Him about Mya. About things you can help her and teach her. I know you do already. You are a wonderful mom, and your an awesome sister too. You always know just what I need to hear. Just remember keep your head up even when things get hard because something good is just around the corner and if you got your head in your hands you wont be able to see it. haha I love you Aub. You're the best. If you ever need anything just let me know and I'm there. haha love you aub. Give Mya a big kiss for me. Have an awesome week love ya. love Ty

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

What Happened Here?!?

There's been an explosion of blackness at the Hansen house!

Witnesses report that the house and fencing have been covered in black plastic, the trees are strung with black streamers and there are over 100 black balloons around the property.

Why did this happen to such a nice family, you might ask.

Is the family in mourning because Mallory is leaving?

Or, could it have something to do with a certain mother's birthday?

We aren't quite sure.

**Quote of the Day**
We would like to share with you the quote of the day that led Debi to the discovery of the above blackness...
"Mom, someone tried to break into our house! They sawed through our door!"
-Mckenzie
(I guess it looks like that from far away.)

Mya's Blessing Day

It's Blessing Day!!

And as you all can surely tell, Mya is thrilled!

We were able to take Mya back to my home ward, where my dad happens to be the Bishop, to bless her. It was really neat to be surrounded by our family and the ward family I grew up with. Cody gave her a fantastic blessing. Cody was kind of nervous. That morning he warned me it probably wouldn't be very long; I told him that was just fine but to say what the spirit told him to say. My cousin said she looked at him right before he went up and said she thought he was going to throw up! When he came and sat back down next to me he smiled, leaned over to me and whispered..."It was longer than you thought it would be, huh" I had to giggle, It was. He is such a wonderful man! Mya's blessing was very sweet and full of wonderful, loving promises and advice.

We were so very blessed to have so many of our family members as well as friends come and support us. We are so thankful that you all were there to share this special day with us! It was a fantastic day, snow and all!

Cody and Mya havin' a serious chat.
