Yesterday, after finishing flu shots at the drug store, I went to do a home visit and give this little old lady her flu shot. So when I arrived, she and her chihuahua (why is it all the old ladies I go to have chihuahuas? Why can't there be like a poodle or something mixed in?) Anyway, they were out in the yard, via her jazzy, waitin' for me. I give her a shot and as I am politely saying goodbye and turning to leave she says... "If I give you $20 dollars,"
At this point I am not sure where we were going with this; Cody though she wanted to pay me to stay and chat with her but I assure you that was not her desire.
"If I give you$20 dollars will you go and get me a Mt. Dew?"
I had to giggle to myself, and I agreed to her request thinking it would just be a quick trip to the gas station. But this lady was in stock up mode; when I left, money in hand I was to bring back four 12-packs of Mt. Dew and a 12-pack of Coke.
The best part was, when I walked back in with my load, you could see how thrilled she was. She must have been out for a few days now because she was pretty happy to see those cans. She looked at the pile of caffeine and said,
"Oh, which to drink first!"

That is funny and if I was her I would do the same thing although I have been off diet coke for 2 weeks now....its been hard. About sunday I will tell Allyson and Kimberly, I don't think I can make it I was gone every sunday last month and I have to teach my class this week and its the same time as yours, but I can't wait to finally meet Mya so hopefully it won't be too long until we see you! Oh and I just read you trip to Vegas you saw KA too.... amazing right I would see it again!
