Thursday Pictures - 26 Weeks

26 Weeks old.

Poor little bubs isn't feeling so hot today. He's spent most of the morning snugged up with daddy. We think he caught the cold and fever that his sisters have had. Poor bud, thats what you get when everyone wants to kiss you all the time.

Sadie Lady

I feel like this pretty little lady has been suffering from a case of middle child- I am darling but haven't had any huge life events -itis. Therefore there needs to be a post dedicated to our darling Miss Sadie Ann.

This little sass a frass is just bursting with personality! I absolutely love her to bits! She wants to be a big girl and do as much like her big sister as possible. But she won't hesitate to inform you that she's 'just little' when there is something you tell her to do by herself but she wants help with it. She has a wonderful imagination and frequently tells us stories of whatever imaginary character is visiting. She is less timid than her sister and can't wait until she's tall enough to ride Splash Mountain. She has graciously said she will let us ride with her but we have to sit behind her.

She can get a little feisty at times. Especially if it's been a while since she last ate something. Put some food in her belly and she's a whole new woman. She takes after her mom and grams that way. She has a tender little heart and the waterworks start to flow if she is scolded. The most tragic phrase I've heard from her is 'It's all my fault!'.

She loves to go to nursery but doesn't love when the kids get out of control. She has informed me on a couple occasions that the kids were being crazy so she covered her ears and yelled 'Quiet!'. OK...I'm sure the nursery teachers loved that. But, she doesn't like loud, noisy places.

She is my snuggle buddy. She and I have afternoon rest time together while Mya is at school and Hayze is napping. I get to lay down with her until she falls asleep and she either holds my hand or puts her arm across my neck. I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Favorite Food: Peanut butter and honey sandwiches, Nutella on anything, Edemame, Scrambled eggs and Oatmeal are her go to foods.

Favorite Color: Blue, Pink

Favorite Show: My Little Pony

Favorite My Little Pony: Rainbow Dash, Princess Luna/Nightmare Moon

Other Favorite Movie Characters: Cars, Planes, the Minions from Despicable Me. Little Einstiens, although not as popular as they once were are still one of her faves.

Bedtime Buddies: Her blanket and Brer Rabbit are essential. Her bed is also filled with her other stuffed animals. At night she likes to have 3 blankets on her. If we try to get away with not putting one on, she knows and makes you fix it. They must also be layered in a certain order.

Favorite Bedtime Songs: Spoonful of Sugar, Feed the Birds

Morning Beverage: Chocolate Milk and it MUST be warm.

What she likes to do: Jump on the tramp, play in Uncle Craig's Sandpile and swing on his swings. Ride wiggle bikes. She likes looking through grandpa's binoculars.

Little Ballerina

Little Miss Mya began a new adventure this past month. Dance classes! She has been counting down all summer for when she could start ballet class. I hoped that when it began her excitement would continue so we wouldn't have an drama about going.

There has not been any problem whatsoever. She is excited to go every week and is always concerned about if we are going to be late or not. I think she looks just darling in her little dance clothes. She most definitely got her long legs from her daddy.

The first day was pure entertainment. There were moments of focus but also some great moments of spinning around on the floor, doing snow angels, then a little bit of focus, then some more spinning. I am so thankful for her sweet teacher and her patience. I can't wait for recital time to roll around because you just know that will be a good time.

A Little Chalk on the Block

The shops at Riverwoods hosted a chalk art festival. We decided it would be a fun night out. We had a great time! I was very impressed by the many talented artists that were there. The girls had fun pointing out characters they recognized. To end the night we had pizza and ice cream, no better way to end a fun evening.

Thursday Pics - 24 Weeks

24 Weeks Old

How can you not love this face! Seriously? I can't get enough of him. I love the moments that I get to spend with him before bed.  A warm bottle with rice cereal puts him into a deep milk coma. I find myself lingering with his sweet little face snuggled up by my neck. There is something so peaceful in those quiet moments and I know that I am lucky to have heaven so close.

23 Weeks Old

Little man thinks he's pretty hot stuff now that he's figured out this rolling business. He starts out on his blanket but give him a few minutes and he will make his way across the room. Guess its time for me to find a way to block our stairs. He has taken a greater interest in his toys lately. He has a favorite elephant that crackles and he will giggle, chew on it and giggle some more. It's fun to see him get excited when he sees it.
