Miss Mya wishes you all a sassy new year!

Me and My darling dates for the evening.
Cody is off on an adventure in the frozen planes of North Dakota but that's another post entirely.

'And this is a
crazy lady.'
We watched Despicable Me, which I had never seen before, it was great. Mya loved the minons.

Warming up for the countdown.

My family's new year's traditions all center around torching a Christmas tree.
Different, yes.
A great time, absolutely!

Tyson got the honor of lighting the tree and giving the new years toast since it was his first year back from his mission.

The on-lookers

Mya wasn't totally sure what to think about all the noise from the fireworks that were exploding from the flaming tree. At the very end her response was 'Holy Smoke!'
Our fantastic friends who helped create this tradition.
Sami, Suzi and Micheal Draper
Suzie was channeling her inner babushka to try and keep warm.

The Girls (Minus Erin, whom we missed greatly)
Sami, Deni and Me

Mya's adopted 'Uncle Zach' got some New Years love from Miss Mya and his darling fiance McKelle.

Toasting the new year.

Uncle K and Megan

Mya was a gem! She was going strong until the very last person left, which was about 2:30 a.m.
She didn't whine or cry one little bit, she was loving the attention, treats, the abundance of willing book readers, and Toy Story on the Wii with grandpa.

We had a spirited game of Greed that got so exciting Uncle Mark fell off his chair.

2010 you brought us lots of joy, 2011 we can't wait to see what you have in store.
