The day after Christmas, cousin Tate and Aunt Kim came to visit from Texas. We decided we needed to have a date night. We took the kiddo's to the Living Planet Aquarium in Salt Lake and then up to see the lights at temple square.

It's hilarious, she will use this line whenever she wants to say no way to something and then just tack on the rest of the saying so that she won't get in trouble for talking back.
I guess I should thank Finding Nemo for making this trip such a success, all we had to do was tell her what character we were looking at and she was in heaven.

They had rays that you could touch; they were pretty crazy feeling. They felt kind of like a slimy sponge.
Mya could have spent the entire trip running in and out of these coral formations. She kept going back to them, climbing inside, checking out the fish tanks that were inside, then she wanted to play pretend and would make us a cupcake and hand it out the 'windows'.
Cute cousins

Watching the penguins with Aunt Kim and Tate.
For some reason this fish and Mya were fascinated with one another. They sat and stared at each other, Mya would giggle and put her face up to the glass, and the fish would just stare. The people behind us were getting a kick out of her antics.
Strike a pose with Mr. Fish
Mya thought this little canoe was a blast but was slightly annoyed that the oar was stuck to the ground. Of course she broke out in song, since our life is a musical. She treated us to row row row your boat. Such a funny little miss.
We then decided we needed something delightful for dinner so we visited a delightful little hole in the wall called Bruges Waffles and Frites. Where we had just what the name says... Waffles and Frites. Not the most healthy dinner choice but absolutely heavenly. The fries were so good, and the waffles just melt in your mouth. Adam and Cami joined us for this scrumptious Belgian feast and our party took up the entire inside eating area, I told you it was little.
Mya and I thoroughly enjoyed our waffle with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. We finished every last bite.

Despite the fact that the kiddos were running a little short on patience we decided to brave Temple Square for a speed viewing of the lights.

It is such a beautiful sight to see the temple lit and surrounded by all the beautiful colors.

It was a great night, wasn't it? We always have so much fun playing with you guys. Thanks for making time to have a play date with us every time we come. It's so nice to have something special to look forward to. I love being with my little niece and you're one of my favorite people to talk to, so it works great all around. I'm glad Tate and Mya played so nice this time. It's so fun to watch them together.
I love those pictures of Mya staring down the fish. I'm sad I missed that!
I love Bruge's! Such a good find.
