Beach Bums

Who can resist a little time at the beach? Even if the water is freezing and the sun is going down. We spent our first evening with the locals on the beach, the only difference between us and them...they were in jeans and sweaters.

Our cute little family of toes in the sand.

Daddy, Mya and Grams

This is about as far in as the ladies dared venture into the freezing water. Cody, Ty and McKay however couldn't resist and braved the icy waves and spent a half hour or so body surfing.
All I could think of were a few choice lines from the movie Simon Birch.

The Ladies

Sadie stayed nice and snug in her chair feasting on her little footie until she decided she wanted in on the action and Grandpa rescued her.

It was so much fun to watch Mya run up and down the beach, follow and sort of chase the seagulls, walk with grams and grandpa on the shore, and play in the sand. I absolutely love to watch my girls with their grandparents; they are so blessed to have four amazing people to love them unconditionally, support them, and do whatever their little hearts desire. Pretty lucky little ladies!

Showing uncle K her seashell she found all by herself.
Or in Mya-speak: "I do it eye-myself!"

Mya was having a blast! There were so many new things to discover, sand to dig in and seashells to find. I think she would have played until the sun went down. All the adults were covered in goosebumps and packed up ready to head for the car but little miss was content to play in the sand. We finally convinced her that it would be great fun to play in the outside shower and then go back to see Mickey and Minnie.

There is something about the beach that just lights me up inside. Those are such sweet pictures with little miss and your family. Looks like a beautiful evening despite the chill.
