Family 'Hike' Evening

Yesterday we decided to head out on a family hike. Cody had discovered a new trail that was just calling him to come and hike it. So we trekked into what the forest service calls, 'The Lone Peak Wilderness'. It was a beautiful hike, so green and lots of wildflowers! And to Cody's excitement there were plenty of deer to be seen.

Our awesome neighbors let us take their backpack out for a test-drive, thanks Dan and Marcie, Mya was so much more comfortable than in the front pack. Cody also agreed that this was a much easier way to carry her and has already started scouring KSL.com for one.

It only took her about 3 minutes to decide that it was OK to actually touch the flowers.

Don't we all look pretty... but hey it's a family picture.
This hike made it painfully obvious that I am OUT OF SHAPE, my calves were burnin'!
But, it felt really great to get out and get some exercise.

Thankfully we were almost at the car, Mya kept giving me the 'night-night' sign.

Good work on getting your family out. I think that doing things like that actually help keep things together.

Such great pictures. Looks like a great family outing. So nice to get out as a family! We need to do that more! My little niece is so smart learning her little signs. Can't wait to chat with her.
