It finally happened...Last month I told myself that after that package of diapers ran out I wouldn't buy any more. That day came more quickly than I expected however and I found myself still utterly terrified to potty train. But, it had to be done and I informed Mya that the man at the store told me that we couldn't buy any more diapers for her. The process turned out to not be as bad as I had expected it to be. We did the 3 day potty training method (thanks Amberly!!) and it really worked! I was wondered if she would get it, or if her stubborn streak would cause problems. She really did great! Did we have accidents, Of course; but she seemed to catch on more quickly than I expected. Cody and I laughed at each other because we sounded like broken records..."Are your panties dry?"
"Do you need to go potty? Will you tell mommy/daddy when you need to go potty?"
Success earned her a sticker and 2 Jelly Beans! There were a few times we caught daddy rewarding his successful potty trips with jelly beans too.
By the end of the week we had a pretty impressive sticker chart.We have since filled that paper and had to put up another paper to accommodate the massive sticker population.

YEAH MYA! Everytime i take her to the potty, after she says "now i get a sticker and jellies" so i would just give her a sweetart instead! haha! I love her cute little legs in those tiny panies! so cute
Congrats miss mya...and also to you Aub. :) I can't believe she picked it up so fast. That's incredible. It's just crazy to me that she's that big already. Ugh. Congrats to the two of you. And cody...for going peeps as well. A true success. haha

I am so impressed by how fast she caught on! I've still never seen her have an accident even through the night! Way to go Mama!

Wahoo Miss Mya!!! What a big, fancy lady! And major props to you, Aub for keeping it positive and full of patience... half the diapers in the family is never a bad thing!
