I came across this dress kit at the Holy Cow boutique last week and on a whim I decided I wanted to try it. I'm getting really good at sewing strait lines along car seat covers and burp rags but haven't ventured much farther out of my comfort zone. This little pattern looked simple enough to be a good starting point. So with help from my mom, seamstress extraordinaire, I completed this darling dress and tulle petticoat for little miss Mya. I learned how to put in a simple sleeve and an awesome trick for a ruffle. It was really fun and I'm excited to try another project.

That's just too cute! Good work! My straight lines look more like zig-zags.
So cute! Way to go! Mya looks so big now too. She has lost that baby look. I love her curly hair.
