Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow
Did you know Walt Disney originally wanted EPCOT to be a city? Those were the original plans for this area of Walt Disney World. It was Walt's main focus before he passed away. It turns out to be a pretty fun theme part too.
Sadie watching the silly gulls outside of Nemo.
This was Mya's first ride of the vacation. As I suspected she was very concerned with the creepy/dimly lit ques, wanted to be held and fussed about being scared. But as we were walking out after the ride she informed us 'That wasn't scary at all."
Speaking of bonds...these ladies love their uncles! And their uncles love them. They treat them like little Princesses and I love seeing them interact with them, watching how patient they are with them and how happy they are to let them go at their own little pace.
We tried to do some things we hadn't done before and one of those was the 'Living with the Land' boat ride. It was more informational than a rip-roarin' adventure but was pretty cool to see how the creativity of Disney scientists had figured out ways to farm in places that seem to harsh to sustain growth as well as other ways to grow, water or fertilize plants. This picture is of a 10 pound lemon! They were bigger than cantaloupe!
Miss Sadie 'sharing' a Popsicle with Grandpa. She likes to do things by herself these days.
She was also very entertained by the family of ducks we happened upon while waiting for the boys to go get us a fast pass. She quacked at them with all her gravely little voice could give. Hilarious!!
Then we ventured into the Imagination Institute for some hands on fun.
These carpet squared lit up and played a musical note when you jumped on them, Mya and Sadie had a great time running from one to another.

Sadie was quite entertained with this water fountain that shot beads of water into the air. She would lean as far over it as she could, often resulting in a shot of water to the head.
Their special handshake is from Dude Crush. It goes something like this..
'Fin' (High 5)
'Noggin' (forehead bump)
' DUDE CRUSH!!'
Mya - "You so totally rock squirt!"
I love that they have such a great bond.
These were right outside another first time ride for us, Maelstrom, it is a boat ride through an old Viking village with tales of the Viking gods and spirits. Mya thought this one was kind of scary and there were parts that I had to agree.
Once the sun wend down it was chilly! Like I thought I was back in Utah and wanted more than my sweatshirt chilly. Thankfully this was the only night it was that cold.
I absolutely adore Mya's face! Her eyes gazing up at Snow White, she tried to climb right up in Snow White's lap. This for me was absolute Disney magic!
Then we traveled into China to visit Mulan.
I wasn't sure how Mya would do with a little autograph book, or if she would even understand the concept. She did! She loved finding new characters to sign her book, she held it like a treasure as we waited in line and would turn the pages looking at all the signatures.
One last wild stop for Grandpa, Cody, Ty, McKay and I was Mission to Mars. This thing is crazy! Seriously! It produces something like 4G's as you 'blast' into space. I did pretty good for most of it but I got a little sick toward the end. Dad and I expected it though, they do warn you of motion sickness more than I have seen on any other ride. I wished they would stop, it made me more nervous to ride. Cody and I ended up in a 'ship' with another couple and the husband had just finished 'drinks around the world'. So she apologized in advance to us, just in case he threw up. Great! I am happy to report that we made it out without any additional moisture.

Love it! We love Disney World around here, so it's fun to live vicariously through your blog! Makes me want to plan a trip right now! Looks like you had fun at Epcot!
So now I need to go to Epcot! Looks like there is a lot of fun to be had there, even for the littles. Aubs, you look beautiful. And your little girls are cuter every time I see a new picture. I can't wait to squeeze that feisty little Sade-o.
