Since we have been lucky enough to have our Daddy home with us for over a month now, we have been taking full advantage of his open schedule. One rainy afternoon we decided a trip to the Lehi pool was just the ticket.

This trip made both Cody and I very aware of the personality differences that are already showing between our little girls. Miss Mya is cautious, I have lovingly started to call her our little 'Scaredy Cat Kitty'. I can't tease too much because she is EXACTLY like me in that respect. Very nervous to try the unknown or venture too far out of her comfort zone.

It took a lot of coaxing to get her to attempt the kiddie slides just once and then despite lots of cheering and praise, she refused to go again...'No, I fine'

For those of you who aren't familiar with the Lehi pool, they have a giant jungle gym play area for the kids in a shallow beach like area. It spouts water, has water guns and all sorts of fun things. It also has a five foot around bucket at the top that slowly fills with water and dumps a huge amount of water over anyone in it's path. Well they must not turn it on until later in the day. The first half of our trip was calm and Mya enjoyed the calm shallow end, but as soon as that bucket started dumping it was
No Bueno! She spent quite a while poolside in a chair bundled in her towel.

Sadie on the other hand has been deemed our 'Water Dog'.
She seems to be a little more willing to push the edge, to see how far she can go. She loved all the water fountains, she played with Daddy until her sweet little lips were so purple we made her get out. And only her chocolate milk made the parting from the water acceptable.

All in all a very fun day spent with Daddy all to ourselves!

Safe from the noisy dumping bucket.

AAWWW fun day with Daddy! I'm glad you guys could go have fun together as a family!! So fun
Dads are the best...and so is the Lehi pool. So fun to see their personalities come out as they grow up. Unfortunately, we don't really have a cautious one in this house. :)
Oh so cute! I can hardly stand those amazing Sadie cheeks!!! I love the picture of Mya wrapped in her towell, smiling but keeping her eyes on that bucket of doom! Such a funny girl. I love her. sounds like a really fun outing with Daddy. Glad you've had so much time to play!
