Before the trip we asked the girls which characters they wanted to meet. Hands down it was Donald Duck for Sadie and Merida for Mya. Once we arrived I was a little worried that we might not be able to fulfill these wishes since there was a surprising lack of characters wandering the park. I guess we had been to Disney world last and that is character heaven, everywhere you turn there is someone new to meet. Anyway, we kept our eyes peeled and along with some other fun encounters with other Disney friends we were able to fulfill their requests.
Seriously! The pure joy that comes over these two when they meet the characters is to die for. It is worth every second we wait in line. Miss Sadie was attached to Donald as soon as it was her turn and he had to physically move her over to the other side for a picture, where she proceeded to latch onto that side.
A very happy little lady giving her favorite duck a big smooch!
When it was time to meet Merida we were just a little nervous because when she walked out to meet and greet she was really working the sullen slightly grumpy part of her character. We watched her with a couple people before us and she was just OK so that's all we were expecting was a couple quick snapshots. Thankfully we were very wrong, something about the girls struck a cord with her and she was above and beyond what we could have wished for.
She spent so much time with them! She talked with Mya about having the same hair, and when Mya told her she was her for Halloween she quickly asked why she didn't write and tell her so that she, Merida, could have dressed up as Mya.
Merida spent a good long while whispering something nose to nose with Miss Sadie. It was darling, I hope she knows how she made my day as a mom for taking so much time with my little princesses.

Those pictures are so sweet. I'm glad your ladies had such good experiences meeting their favorites. It is so darling how excited they are. That last pic of Sadie and Merida is just precious.
