Disney's California Adventure

Thought we would photo op little man's first Disney visit.
Please don't mind that I look utterly haggard in these photos. The delightful temperatures in southern California brought with it a heavy blanket of mist every morning and my hair did not want to cooperate at all with those conditions. I looked nice for 10.2 minutes every morning and then proceeded to this melted version of myself. Still, I was in Disneyland and that's all that really matters.
This was the first time we had experienced the Little Mermaid ride. I thought it was darling and another great things about it was that there was never a very long wait so if the kiddos were feeling a bit restless and needed a quick fix that was on their level it was a great go-to ride.
Another first for our family was riding the Mickey Mouse Ferris Wheel. We chose to avoid the swinging gondola's for the kids sake and also for the sake of my weak stomach. This was slightly disappointing to Sadie because the stationary ones didn't have a Donald Duck character.
Uncle Glenn, Tate, Auntie Kim, and Finn! We love you guys!
For as shy as Miss Sadie pretends to be sometimes she has no problem puckering up for any of the characters.
Bumper cars are very serious business.
Auntie Kim, Tate, Mya and Daddy
Sadie was quite distraught that she wasn't tall enough to get in on the bumper car fun. Thank heaven it wasn't a very long ride or it may have been ugly. To make it up to her we rode Francis Ladybug Boogie. It was much faster than we all thought it would be and mid spin she said "Slow down Francis!"
These moments were some of my absolute favorite. Watching these sweet cousins experience the magic together, racing through the lines, meeting the characters and just enjoying being together.
Toy Story Mania was at the top of these little kids list. Good news is that it's pretty darn fun for mom and dad's too.
Tate and Sadie look like kissin' cousin's right here but there were just trying to figure out the 3D glasses.
Little ladies got pretty decent scores all things considered.
Another successful carousel ride for Miss Mya. Just so long as someone was within reach she did great.
While the other big people rode the roller coaster, Uncle Glenn and I hung out with the kids. Me due to the extra passenger I've got and Glenn and coasters aren't the best buddies.
Tate and Mya had a great time climbing on the benches and just entertaining themselves.
Sadie was giving off the sass because she couldn't constantly be in control of the Lightning McQueen popcorn bucket.
And Miss Abigail was so hard to keep track of. Really, doesn't she just look like trouble? Delicious, kissable trouble.
The before mentioned McQueen popcorn bucket. Thankfully for her Tate wasn't feeling too protective of this treasure and Sadie was super lucky and Nana suprised her with one as well.
We absolutely lucked out and were in the right place at the right time to see the darling Pixar parade. A bunch of the big people were riding the Tower of Terror and we had parked the strollers right at the exit to wait. Well, the parade started right next to where we were waiting, front row with really no other people around us. The characters came up to the edges, waving and giving the kids high five. It was so great!
We had to have a picture of Roz, since for some wierd reason she is one of Sadie's favorites. Imagine her scruffy little voice saying 'I watching you Wazowski, always watching' it is my favorite!

After the parade this night the Daddy's were spent so they headed back home with all the kids and Auntie Kim and I hung out had a nice dinner, wandered through shops and enjoyed the World of Color with Adam and Camarie. After the parade Kim and I kidnaped baby Abby and sent the two new parents on a date. Kim is a kindred Disney spirit and we were happy to keep each other company.

Oh so fun. This is a great post. Great pictures, Aub. We had so much fun on this trip with you. I still can't stop thinking about it. Can we do it again? Sometime? Please?

I love that Sadie is kissing the car and all the characters. Too cute!
