Happy Easter!

Happy Easter To One and All!!

To our amazing family and all our fantastic friends, we hope that your day was wonderful!

Our day was fantastic!

After the first session of General Conference we went over to Grams and Grandpa's house for Brunch. We had the meal we have every conference; breakfast casserole, fruit and sweet rolls! All of my favorites and perfect for snacking on the rest of the afternoon.
Mya brought her Easter basket to show grams what the Bunny left. She made out like a bandit! A new Easter Fancy Nancy book, sandals, a swimsuit (for when it actually gets warm) and her very own pair of sunglasses! Mya loves her glasses and now she has her very own pair, that actually are the right size for her head.
She also got a beautiful Easter dress from grams that she will be sporting next week at church.

Givin' us a little attitude!

Then we discovered that the Bunny had left eggs all over grams house!
It was so much fun to watch her look in every room for the hidden 'ayggs' filled with 'cannies'.

I was amazed at how intently she would look, and if we gave her clues she understood and would follow the direction that we gave her. I realize that she's smart and she's getting to be such a big girl but I sometimes don't give her the credit she deserves. I love being a mommy!!

After our egg hunt was over, we settled in for another Amazing session of conference. I was so touched by many of the talks and thankful for the spirit that filled the room as we listened to the Prophet and the Apostles testify of our Savior Jesus Christ. I was strengthened and inspired and I am so thankful for these wonderful men and their inspired messages! I can't wait for the conference issue of the Ensign so I can read them all again.

After Conference we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Keetch's house for dinner. Grandma always goes above and beyond and this year was no exception. Delish!

Great Grandpa Keetch and Miss Mya

Whenever we go to visit Grandma and Grandpa Great, Mya points out every duck in the room. She loves them and very often will pick them up to hug and kiss them. These aren't just any ducks, my grandpa has hand carved every one of them. They are each different, with different heads, shapes, feather patterns and other details he has either carved or wood burned into them. For Easter he had a very special surprise for Mya, he had made her 2 little ducks of her very own. These are the first 'mini' ducks he had made. What a treasure! He did make us promise to let her play with them and she does! This picture is in the process of giving them a big kiss.

Easter Fiesta!?!

Yep, pinata time! And wow did grandma have these two stuffed to the absolute brim with candy! Brock is being kind enough to model the carnage of the first pinata.

Mya wanted little to do with this violent celebration. She was very concerned as she watched all the cousin's with the bat.

My Dad tried to help her have a turn but all we could hear was 'no, no, no!'

Silly little girl.

She was however, willing to help pick up some of the candy, and apparently she is a girl after my own heart...she only picked up the Reese's peanut butter cups. Good girl!

Again, Happy Easter everyone!

We love you!
