Halloween 2015

Adventure is Out There!!
This year we decided to attempt a family costume theme. We debated a few ideas but all the kids agreed and were excited about being the characters from Disney Pixar's Up.  Mya was a darling young Ellie, complete with grape soda pin, crazy red hair and crooked teeth. Sadie was super excited to be Kevin the bird and wanted Sienna to be one of her babies. Hayze insisted that he was a superhero, so anytime we had to dress up we called him Superhero Dug dog! And that made it just perfect. Cody was grumpy old Mr. Fredricksen and I was the ever chipper wilderness explorer, Russell. 'The wilderness must be explored! Ka-Kaw! Rawr!'

Cute little baby 'Kevin'. I love that my kiddos' all get saggy delicious cheeks like this. It's the best, most kissable thing!
The Sunday before Halloween we got invited to sail the stormy seas with the Draper pirates at their annual, amazing Halloween party. We pulled up and what did we see, a giant pirate ship complete with mermaid figure head 'docked' in the front yard.
Dr. Jekyl / Grandpa and his lovely lady.

The Draper Pirates! They look like they could have walked right off the set of the Pirates of the Caribbean. Their costumes echo the level of commitment to the holiday that their house does. There is no half way when it comes to Draper Halloween.

Grandpa, Grams, Suzie and Michael

Laura and Comidor Scott. You would never guess that this beautiful lady was hiding 7 months worth of baby bump under that gorgeous dress.
And what does every ship need to make port, a dock of course! You don't have a dock in your front yard? Oh, right, lets build one! The day before. Our friends are incredible, and a little crazy. haha

Treasure room, of course. And of course my girls were terrified of all of it. Bless their little hearts.
Hayze on the other hand, thought it was all fabulous! Pirates are right up his alley right now.

Halloween Night

Gummy little smiles from our Little Sienna. She hung out with daddy and helped hand out candy to the neighbor kids while the other kiddo's and I went around the neighborhood with our cute neighbors.

After a couple cup-de-sacs the kiddos were content with their candy haul and decided it was time to go see Great Grandparents and then Grams and Grandpa. It took us a minute but we finally got both our little pups to hold still for a picture together. We often laugh at these two because they seem to be both maneuvering the toddler phase of life together.
